The Desktop App Is Not Released Yet
There is no download today. This is a status page rather than a product page: it says what exists in the internal build and what does not, and it will describe a capability only once that capability ships.
What Exists, Unreleased
An internal build runs, but it has never been released and cannot be downloaded. Nothing here is available to you today.
- A macOS build has been produced internally
- It opens in a native window and keeps you signed in
- System tray integration is implemented
- Printing uses the operating system print dialog, including print-to-PDF
- None of this is downloadable — there is no release
What Does Not Exist
Stated plainly, because this page previously claimed several of these as shipped features.
- Offline working — not built. The app needs an internet connection
- Background sync — not built. There is no offline queue to sync
- A Windows build — the configuration exists, but no Windows build has been produced
- Automatic updates — the code is present but has no release feed, so nothing updates
- Code signing and Apple notarization — not set up, so builds are unsigned

ClearAgent runs in the browser, on any machine, with nothing to install. That is the whole product — the desktop app is a different way to reach it, not a bigger version of it.

- Can I download the desktop app?
- No. There is no released build for any platform. A macOS build has been produced internally and a Windows build has not been produced at all; neither is signed and neither is available to download.
- Does the desktop app work offline?
- No. Offline working and background sync are not built. The desktop app will require an internet connection when it is released. This answer changes on the day that is no longer true.
