Eighteen consignments, at every stage — draft, in progress, submitted to customs, under assessment, duty paid, and delivered.

Find the file you need. Every GD starts from a job, not a blank form — the client, the vessel and the packages are already there, because you entered them once when the file was opened.

Sale number S-0001. Karachi Traders, forty bales of cotton yarn.

Two item lines. Cotton yarn, unbleached — single under 5205.1100, multiple under 5205.1200. Each carries its own HS code, quantity and duty rate, because customs assesses them separately.

CIF value on the first line: eight hundred and fifty thousand rupees. Customs duty at five percent — forty-two thousand five hundred. Sales tax is charged on value plus duty, not on value alone.

Four hundred and fifteen thousand, eight hundred and sixty rupees of duties and taxes on one consignment. Calculated, not estimated.
